Welcome to the South Devon Mountaineering Club. We are an active club with over 140 members exploring all areas of coast and moorland in Devon and further afield.

The club is open to all adults with an interest in the great outdoors and adventure activities and we also welcome members' families to meets.

The club's main activities are Hill Walking, Mountaineering and Rock Climbing at all levels and abilities.

As well as regular weekly meets for climbers and walkers, club members organise frequent ad hoc weekend and longer trips both home and abroad. Members climb or boulder most weeks throughout the year.

Why Join?

  • Regular meets - climb every Wednesday and most weekends!
  • Climbing and Walking meets at evenings, weekdays and weekends plus trips away
  • Meet experienced walkers, mountaineers and climbers
  • Discounted Dart Rock entry for SDMC members
  • Discount off Cotswold Outdoors and Taunton Leisure
  • Annual membership just £20 - get it back thru member discounts!
  • The fee includes Affiliated BMC membership, upgradeable to individual BMC membership

If you would like to join, come along to one of our meets or become a member.
